We have recently obtained an article on The Manor of Campton cum Shefford in the 18th Century

Shefford is a lively small market town with many advantages for those who live here. From the point of view of access it is situated midway between the A1 and the M1. It has two rail lines within easy reach and it has an excellent bus service to Hitchin and Bedford.

The lower, middle and upper schools are all within walking distance.

It has a variety of shops. It has its own industrial estate and starter units. It has its own micro brewery, B&T, which produces some interesting real ales.

There are many organisations catering for all age groups and interests.

It has its own street fair in October and a weekly street market every Friday.

The High Street has many interesting buildings and The Porch in North Bridge Street dates back to the 15/16th century.

Now that you have visited the Web Site why not visit Shefford?

You will be made most welcome.
