The Royal British Legion was formed in 1921. It exists to promote the welfare of those who are serving or who have served in the Armed Forces of the Crown, and their dependants. That is their spouse and children. The Royal British Legion is a membership organisation with an annual subscription, currently £10.00 per year.
To become an ordinary member you must have received seven days pay in the service of the Crown.

The Shefford Branch currently has over 100 members and meets monthly excluding July & August at Shefford Town Memorial Association Hall.
