Approx 20 young people from YNU - the Baptist/Methodist youth group are going on a sponsored 24 hour famine Sat 22nd - 23rd Feb. They are raising money for the International Development Agency, World Vision, and to increase awareness of the 24,000 people who die every 24 hours from hunger.
They are also creating a coin line at St. Michael's church on Sat 22nd fron 2-5.00pm with each coin representing one of these 24,000 people. Obviously we will need a lot of coins and people can bring their coins down to the church or leave them in one of the jars in the White Hart or the White Swan. We are also hoping to have a couple of stalls outside the church.
