What marvellous weather for the Summer Fayre this year, we were treated to a wonderful afternoon of fun, which several have commented was over too soon. Our thanks go to the small band of volunteers who make the event possible. I think that sometimes we forget how much hard work goes into organising events and running organisations. With just a few more volunteers giving a little of their time, it would help spread the load, so if you have a few hours to help your favourite cause I am sure your offer would be most appreciated.
The Craft and Produce Show is only a few weeks away so don’t leave planning your entries to the last minute. Let’s try to make this the biggest show Shefford has ever seen!
Since the last edition there is a new Town Council, details of members are included inside the magazine.
Many of the items in the Old Forge, featured on the front page, were saved but a permanent home for them has yet to be found. Any suggestions for this wouldbe most welcome.
Dare I mention that the next issue will cover the pre Christmas period so if your group is organising a fundraising event please let me have details to include in the Diary.
Regards,
Jennifer
