Editorial
By the time that you receive this magazine we will be well into the New Year.
Hopefully the weather will be improving after all the rain and snow of recent weeks and we can start thinking of getting out and about again.

The year 2001 should see some changes in Shefford, the long awaited opening of the MUGA (Multi-Use Games Area) on the Robert Bloomfield School site. This facility will be available for public use during the evenings, weekends and school holidays.

The Town Centre Scheme is scheduled to start within the next few months so we can look forward to better High Street pavements at long last!
The District Council is looking for your views on the River Hit Enhancement project, see page 11 for details. Once the weather improves the new bridge at the Millennium Green should be constructed.

It is at this time of year that people sometimes feel that they would like to try something new. Shefford has many groups and organisations looking for new members or helpers, so why not give one of them a try. We are currently updating the Regular Meetings page so, if your group or organisation would like to be included on this page, please contact me at the address below, with a contact address and telephone number and I will add it to the list.

Regards Jennifer
