Editorial
By the time you read this, the anxiously awaited Link Road should be completed. Once the road is fully opened, it should relieve much of the heavy goods traffic from the Ampthill Road and Town Centre.
Now that the dark mornings and evenings are here, I would like to remind cyclists, particularly the children, to check that their lights are in good working order before they need to use them. All too often I see cyclists using roads and pavements in the dark without lights or not using them. See and be seen! We would not want any accidents to happen.
Shortly we will be seeing the Christmas Lights, which illuminate our town centre so brightly over the festive season, going up. I would like to say thank you to all the people who volunteer to make this, and all the other community events, happen throughout the year. The pleasure these events give to the people of Shefford and the surrounding areas is appreciated by everyone.
Thank you all for your contributions to Newsline over the past year, keep them coming! Unfortunately due to lack of space the Regular Meetings page has been omitted from this issue but will be included in the Spring issue. If your group or organisation would like to be included in this section, please contact me with your details as early as possible. We are aware that there are many organisations that have not yet contributed to Newsline, this is your magazine, why not send us something in 2001 and get your message across to the whole community!
